NAILENE FRENCH MANI - PRODUCT REVIEW

Last night I tried out Nailene's French Manicure Set. It is a pretty basic set that includes white and peach nail polish, a bottle of top coat and 42 tip guides.

I normally don't use tip guides, but I did this time. I forgot how much nicer the line looks when using tip guides. When I do them free hand they tend to just go straight across instead of have that slight "u" curve. I normally do my french mani's different, but for the sake of the review I did as the instructions told me.

  1. Apply tip guides.
  2. Apply two coats of the white nail polish to tips. Let dry and remove guides.
  3. Apply one to two coats of the peach nail polish to entire nail.

Here are my results:

My own personal taste, I do not like the peach color, I think it just enhances my already yellowed nail beds, but like I said for the sake of the review I did as instructed. I think the peach color would look nice on nails that aren't already stained. It was still sheer without being too peach, at least at one coat. I didn't add a second coat of the peach to my nails in the pictures.

Really simple to use kit that I think allows someone to do their own "professional" french manicure at home.

However, for most of us we already have a white nail polish and a sheer pink or peach that will work just fine for the all over color. Personally for me the only thing I found "handy" in the kit was the tip guides, which can be purchased separately.

Get this product if you like the look of french manicures and don't have white and or sheer nail polish in your collection already.

Skip this product if you all ready have a white and sheer color in your stash.
