Just doing another quick little catch you up post this morning.
First up, I took some pics of my Jucy Lucy burger last night. This thing was a MONSTER!! It was huge! I cooked some bacon, crumbled some of it and added it to the cheesy center and then put a little bit on top of the burger. I also sauteed red onions and mushrooms for the burgers too. And yes, those are homemade fries too! That burger was a good 5-6" tall, there was no way even I was getting MY big mouth around it. It was a mess, but a tasty one.
I heard back from my blogger I contacted about my little Q&A interview posts, and she agreed to do it! I am so excited about this you guys. I came up with 20 questions, with your help, and I think they turned out pretty good. I have 10 nail polish related questions and 10 questions non-nail polish related. Of course I am giving the bloggers the option to not answer any questions that they feel are too personal, or they don't want to answer. So hopefully I will get the responses back and get the first post up this week. I am calling the series "GETTING TO KNOW. . . ."
I am also going to have for you all this week some nail whiteners I am testing out. After my BF made a comment asking me how come my nails looked orange, I realized that maybe my staining problem was worse than I thought, lol. So I have considered trying a nail whitener. I have never done one of these treatments before and I look forward to seeing if these products work. I picked up two products from Sally's. They both claim to do the same things, but each has different ingredients and both use different methods for achieving white nails.
And lastly, after having both boys this weekend, it can get a little scary in Little's room. They are good about getting it all cleaned up though when asked, so it usually isn't a problem. This weekend however, was a different story. I found two spots on the carpet where they spilled blue and pink bubbles. One of which they thought they cleverly disguised by putting a laundry basket over - nice try butterfly! I was born at night, but not LAST night boys.... Of course, bubbles are easy to clean up. The next spot however is going to prove to be a little trickier. I found a broken bottle of nail polish, and a dried stain on the carpet. Thank goodness it was just Pure Ice - Heartbreaker, so it isn't like a dark red or something. But there is still a good sized, light blue, hard, dry stain. So I figured, what better way than to chronicle what cleaning method works best, than on my nail polish blog! So I and my son will be trying out a couple of ways I found on the internet to get this clean. One method was to use rubbing alcohol, another was shaving cream. If any of you know a good method for removing dried nail polish from carpet, let me know!
I will have a couple nail polish related posts for you all today :)
