IN A NEW YORK COLOR MINUTE

Have you all seen this new display for N.Y.C. nail polish? I just did today during lunch. I went to CVS to get my son some Valentines for school (nice excuse, huh!) and I of course ventured down the nail polish. I came across this display and was excited. This is a new release from N.Y.C. for 2009. I believe these are all new colors as well. All the colors have the names of New York places. All were a mere $1.99 each! I am so excited about trying these out and seeing just how well they apply. I am really happy to see these "lower end" drugstore brands really getting it together and doing new collections like this.
I purchased 6 of the colors.

  • 204B West Village - A very dark, but still purple, purple.
  • 220B Canal Street - A reddish/brown color with lots and lots of gold shimmer!
  • 228B Chelsea - A burgundy shimmer.
  • 226B Madison Avenue - A bright red/pink shimmer.
  • 240B Midtown - Hot pink shimmer.
  • 206B East Village - Teal/Blue shimmer.
After I got back here to work, I got on N.Y.C.'s website, and low and behold when I checked out the collection online there is a color that was missing from the CVS! 246B Park Avenue looks like a light lavender. I am going to a CVS close to home tonight and see if they have this one there. Hopefully I can get some of these tried out for you all and let you know how well they apply. Click here if you would like to see the web page on this collection.
