ZOYA - TRUTH OR DARE

I have swatches for Zoya's Fall 2009 collections TRUTH or DARE. I was really excited to get these! I just got them on Friday and I had already had all 12 colors swatched by Saturday afternoon :)

Zoya is one of those really great, consistently quality nail polish brands. I know that when I get a Zoya nail polish, I don't expect any formula or brush problems at all - and both Truth and Dare didn't disappoint.

I also want to say how much I enjoy Zoya's website, especially the Live online help. This feature is so handy, I wish more nail polish websites did this. I know I have used that feature at least 3 times. What it does is, basically let you immediately talk to customer service via a chat window. You get help asap, no waiting or wondering if your email containing your question arrived or not, you get immediate satisfaction. I have dealt with Zoya by email and they are also really good about responding quickly that way too.


Ok, on to the collections!!

TRUTH

PENNY
This is a gorgeous copper colored nail color. This color just glowed on my nails!

KALMIA
This is a darker version of Penny. This I would still describe as having a copper color, but it is much darker. I think this color has a "southwest" feel to it for some reason. Another one that just glowed on my nails.

SALMA
This polish is much redder than both Penny and Kalmia, but you can still see elements from both of those polishes in this color. The shimmer factor in this polish is super pretty.

ISLA

Isla makes me say ohh la la!! This is such a gorgeous shade of red! Again I see elements from the first three polishes in this color. It is like they just kept building off of Penny and made three more nail polishes. This color is just fab!

ANAKA

Oh Em Gee!! My favorite from the Truth collection! This color just begs to be looked at. It has these hot pink & gold little pieces of glimmer that just make this polish sparkle!

DREW

This is a dusty rose color, but it has a ton of shimmer that keeps it from being boring.

The TRUTH collection really shocked me! I thought for sure that DARE was going to be my favorite, but ZOYA won me over with the amazing shimmer that the TRUTH collection possesses. If I could only get one collection - either Truth or Dare - I would get Truth - HANDS DOWN!

DARE

VANESSA

A pretty, dark berry red. This has more purple to it than the pictures show.

CIARA

This is a pinkish, violet color. Almost a purple, but not quite.

DEMI

This is a medium purple creme, almost the color of Barney!

PINTA

This is a dark, violet purple. It came out looking blue in the sunlight picture, but this is definitely a purple!

ENVY

What can I say about this color that hasn't already been said?? This is a gorgeous dark green creme polish. On my shorter nails I wish this was just a TAD bit lighter so that more of the green color would show through. This can def. look black in non-bright lights.

IBIZA

This was the standout shade for me! I LOVED this polish. I think Envy is great, but Ibiza takes the cake! This is definitely a jewel toned color and just purely awesome!

DARE was a really good collection, don't get me wrong by the short descriptions! It is hard to come up with really descriptive commentary on creme polishes. I think the the last three polishes in the collection are my favorites of Dare. They are darker and that seems to be what I have been liking here lately.
