COOKING CAN BE DANGEROUS TO NAILS

As I found out last night. I really don't know why it happened, but I was reaching to open up a cupboard to get out some sugar and instead I rammed my finger into the opposite cupboard door I was trying to open. Not to mention is was my shortest nail. I have been trying to get this particular nail to grow out, and when I hit it I just thought I had hit skin. After further inspection I not only hit the skin, which cause my nail to separate from the skin, but it also cracked the damn thing too. So much for it growing out.
I tell you all of this to say I started to take off my nail polish from yesterday and when I felt the most horrid, painful feeling in my damaged nail. Once that acetone hit that "open wound" it was all over. I stopped taking off my nail polish and repainted the two nails that I had removed polish from. So I don't have much for you all today since I am not about to go through that kind of pain again. So what I did was I used a new color I bought from Walmart and layered it over my Misa - Bikini with a Martini mani from yesterday. I used A Perfect "10" in After Party. I think this nail polish cost me about a dollar or two. This is the first of this brand I have purchased, but I really like it. I especially love the bottle.
After Party is a clear pink base color and it has really fine glitter in it that goes from pink to yellow in the bottle. When I added it to the Misa, it really made the pink colors of the Misa come out. It looks really nice. I think my nails look like they have been frosted over.

With Flash and a much more accurate capture of the color.

Without Flash, this color is more pink in real life.

And here is a couple of close ups of my nail that I messed up, incase any were interested.

Can you see how that one side is lifted up off my skin?

Do any of you have any of the Perfect "10" nail polishes?
What do you think of them?
Have any of you rammed your finger so hard it seperated from the skin?
